Pre-Authorize a Customer's Credit Card - Overview

Pre-authorizing a credit card before doing the job allows you to check if there are enough funds in the customer's card to cover your payment. This also gives you freedom to do the job, and if you did additional services and need to increase/decrease the price, you may still do so.

To do this, log in to your backend.
  1. On the left bar, click on "Bookings".

  1. Select the booking, go to Summary section and click on "Authorize Charge". If the card has funds, the total amount of the booking will be put on hold, if there's none you will get a message that the card has insufficient funds.

  1. Once the service is done, you can come back anytime and click "Complete & Charge" to charge the customer.
Note: You have 7 days to click on "Complete & Charge" to charge your customer.
